Dashboard

Dashboard Landing View

After successful login, the vStor dashboard is shown. It presents an overview of the vStor’s performance, such as pool usage, mounted file systems, volumes, disks and replication & offload summary.

The header contains the vStor logo and several controls:

  • Dark mode toggle [image expected here] to switch between the light and dark display modes
  • User settings [x] with password, multifactor authentication, API key and e-mail options
  • Help menu [x] with links to Documentation, Knowledge Base, Support and vStor information
  • Notifications area [x] displaying information about recent events
  • The log-out button [x].

The central part of the header is used to display warning and error messages for the user, e.g. concerning license usage. This component displays one message at a time in the form of a carousel, with navigation arrows[x]and[x]allowing the user to cycle through multiple alerts.

Collapsable Sidebar

The sidebar is the dark blue section on the left-hand side of the window.

Hover over the sidebar and click the blue dot with an arrow pointing left to collapse.

Apart from the Dashboard, the sidebar provides access to the following sections of the interface:

  • Storage
    Section for managing pools, volumes and disks.
  • Shares
    Share and host management section.
  • Partnerships
    Section for managing partnerships between vStors. Partnership is a preliminary step to configuring replication or offload.
  • Replication
    Section where replication relationships and replication schedules are managed.
  • Offload
    Section where offload relationships and offload schedules are managed.
  • Admin
    Collapsible section, only visible to administrators. Includes the following subsections:
    • Users
      User management section, visible only for administrators.
    • System
      System settings and management section, visible only for administrators.
    • Tasks
      This section displays current tasks vStor Snapshot Explorer tasks.
    • Logs
      This section lists actions performed by users and system actions triggered by the application.
